June First Friday Preview

We simply can not wait for this month’s First Friday celebration on June 6th — it’s going to be a big one! We hope that you all can make it, because it will be epic! The structure of this First Friday will be a little different from those of the past. This month, we will start at 5:30 with staggered events and partying on until 9:30…or later.
Yes, ladies, Nick Peterson will be back again this month to serve up our delicious signature cocktail. We are so lucky to have him help us celebrate each month, he is becoming a fixture at Clayton Gray Home, much like the store Whippet. Ok, Nick is a little more handsome and animated, and we are thankful that he supports us and our spotlight charities. Thank you, Nick!
Local photographer, Michael Trefry of MichaelJon Photography did such a fantastic job last month capturing the fun memories of the night, that we have asked him to join us again. Focusing on local talent and businesses is one of Clayton Gray Home’s passions, and we are lucky to be surrounded by such amazing talents.
As always, we will have some yummy nibbles for all of our guests. This month we would like to introduce Clementine Boutique Chef Services. The super hero team of Brian and Misty Sommers will whip up some amazing bites for you to enjoy! Instead of trying to describe the fantastical things that are Clementine, we thought it better to include their “about us” description;
Clementine is a boutique chef service, based in Tampa, providing high quality, fresh, delicious food and impeccable, personalized service. Focused on all natural cooking, we are fanatical about sourcing the very best ingredients we can get our hands on. We love what we do and that comes across in the relationships we build with our customers. From special requests (gluten free, vegetarian, vegan) to out of this world circumstances (you name it, we’ve seen it), we are here to serve.

Last Friday’s blog we introduced you to our spotlight charity for the night. From 6–8 p.m., representatives from Hope Children’s Home will be on hand to tell you about this wonderful organization and how they are helping abused, neglected and abandoned children in the Tampa area. In addition to donations, we will also be collecting items from the Hope Children’s Home immediate needs list. Feel free to purchase these items and bring them with you to First Friday.
Get ready to shake your groove thang. Tampa’s own Boneyard will be performing from 7–9:30 p.m., providing us with awesome music and creating a fantastic atmosphere. Groupies of all ages are welcome and hopefully we can get Bob back in the front window to entertain the drivers on Kennedy Blvd.
Our neighbors, Malindy Elene will also be open during First Friday this month. Make sure to stop by the store at 2107 W. Kennedy where they will have on hand, Femme Akoi doing make up consultations from 5–7 p.m. Lots to choose from this Friday. This is a First Friday you won’t want to miss!
Special Note: We will be closed July 4th, so will not have First Friday. However we will resume First Friday in August, where our neighbors Buddy Brew Coffee, will open their newly expanded space for everyone to check out.
