Mirror, Mirror On The…Table?

Mir­rored fur­ni­ture is nothing new.  During the Middle Ages mir­rored fur­ni­ture was all the rage in Euro­pean cities such as Venice, London, and Paris.  Mir­rored fur­ni­ture was used as a status symbol because it was a very expen­sive and time con­suming task to pro­duce, there­fore most pieces were owned by nobility.

These pieces work well in var­ious rooms and will reflect colors and pat­terns and light, so take that into con­sid­er­a­tion when arranging a room with mir­rored fur­ni­ture in it. Use it to your advan­tage to show off pieces nearby that you want to accentuate.
