We were excited when we heard about the opening of Edison Food + Drink Lab, Tampa’s new dining experience that is an experimental genius!  All fresh components are combined with part science and part creativity to  produce new interpretations of everyday ingredients into culinary masterpieces.  Even better?  Edison is mere blocks from our own front door!

This restaurant is the new, creative brainchild of none other than renowned chef Jeannie Pierola, who is known throughout South Tampa’s food and wine community for her culinary expertise and ability to push the envelope in the kitchen.
We loved the chic, simplicity of the industrial decor and the only pops of color throughout the interior were splashes of orange…and of course the food, which took center stage.

Our favorite picks for the night?  Migas + Tapenade, Goat Cheese Truffles, Avocado Leaf Seared Tuna, and Duck Confit Foie Gras Tacos.  We followed up these decadent nibbles with the Honey Lavender Vacherin, which was as described on the menu, dreamy!

Edison receives four thumbs ups from all of us here at CGH.  Go now and go often, since they are always experimenting with new food and drink ideas, each visit is guaranteed to be a delight to all of your senses!
