Jan­uary 3rd was the first First Friday of 2014. A spe­cial night to visit with our cus­tomer and busi­ness neigh­bors on our beau­tiful stretch of Kennedy Boule­vard in Tampa. It was a gor­geous evening in Hyde Park with per­fect weather for gath­ering with friends.

First Friday began at 4pm with SOHO Cycling Studio greeting everyone as they entered Clayton Gray Home. SOHO Cycling Studio edu­cated guests on the ben­e­fits of spin­ning and how it can enhance other activ­i­ties, such a run­ning. It is race season in Florida and spin­ning is a great way to help you cross train for the PR you have been chasing! Guests left with spe­cial package pricing for some amazing spin classes to help that New Year’s resolution.

Buddy Brew Coffee was brewing up some deli­cious coffee. Being edu­cated on Buddy Brews roasting process was intriguing for everyone.  We also learned some edu­ca­tional tid­bits about the health ben­e­fits of coffee. Working with the farmers from whom they pur­chase their coffee beans (which are actu­ally from a fruit!), coffee is more than just a caf­feine fix for Buddy Brew, it is love! Buddy Brew is truly pas­sionate in what they brew and it shows in their fab­u­lously won­derful cup of joe.

What’s a party without COCKTAILS?! Skinny Girl Mar­gar­itas were on hand. Truly refreshing and yummy! A per­fect go-​​to party favorite and it’s light!


Every party needs a “wow” factor and we think that we hit the nail (or pin) on the head with Pin­terest. We had healthy and sat­is­fying “No Bake Energy Bites” and fab­u­lous exam­ples of orga­nizing tips using our vin­tage key racks. The Vagabond Vin­tage key racks are per­fect for orga­nizing not only keys, but belts, jew­elry, socks, cleaning sup­plies, washi tape (love this!), dog leashes and col­lars, scarves, ties, umbrellas and ribbons/​fabrics.

Guests left with fab­u­lous swag bags filled with the recipe for the “No Bake Energy Bites”, orga­nizing tips using our key racks, SOHO Cycling Studio spe­cials, free Buddy Brew Coffee vouchers and a chic and prac­tical plan­ning cal­endar. We can’t think of a better way to ring in 2014!

No Bake Energy Bites

1c dry oats

1/​2c choco­late chips

1/​2c peanut butter

1/​2c ground flax seed

1/​3c honey

1t vanilla

Mix well, chill about thirty min­utes then roll into table­spoon sized balls. Keep for about 1 week in the refrigerator.
