So what’s the deal with soy candles?!

The sheer joy and “ahhhhness” felt when lighting a brand new container candle, quickly gives way to the “ewwww” factor of the black soot that stains the glass rim and surrounding surfaces. Soy wax is non-toxic and burns cleaner than paraffin, with no petrol-carbon soot which can blacken walls, ceilings, and furniture, contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home, as well as add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe. Soy candles are also slower burning than regular paraffin candles. Buying soy candles is also an excellent way to support agricultural growth in the US.

One of our favorite lines of soy candles comes from Spitfire Girls. This beautiful line of soy-blend wax candles are hand crafted in Los Angeles by “free-range” artists. As each candle burns down it becomes a lumier illuminating the artwork printed on cherry wood that is wrapped around the glass. Simply Stunning. Available in fabulous Magnolia, Vetivert and Orris and Amber scents. Made to burn baby burn, these candles have an average burn time of 60 hours.
