We are so excited to share the back story on our Aviva Stanoff pillows we just received!

These are one of a kind creations inspired by the surface treatment that Aviva specifically designed for Christian Dior Couture and Givenchy.

The fabric is a silk fused with paper in metallic shades of golds and silvers.  The texture that is created by this process has a beautiful raised “feel” that instantly pops when placed on any sofa or chair for an immediate luxe, high-fashion feel!

What’s even better?  This technique is now a part of the Decorative Arts permanent collection at the Brooklyn Museum!  Learn more about this and more of the museum’s permanent collection, here.

Here are just a few samplings of Aviva Stanoff textiles on permanent display at the Brooklyn Museum. Note the grid pattern in the center which the Christian Dior and Givenchy lines were inspired by.

As stated on their site, Aviva and her company cater to “sophisticated, contemporary consumers seeking beautiful decorative accents.  They value the uniqueness of handmade pieces for their home.”  One of the many reasons we feel that these pillows fit in perfectly with our Clayton Gray Home design aesthetic.

Stop by our shop next time you are in Tampa.  The photos don’t do these pillows justice.  They really are individual works of art that must been seen to truly appreciate.
