Sometimes the most beautiful rooms are those that lack bold color and instead focus on layering warm neutrals around a textured or patterned rug or wallpaper.

Neutral rooms need many layers of color, otherwise it can look about as lively as a bowl of porridge”, according to Rita Konig’s recent article in the Wall Street Journal.  Most neutral rooms layer shades of creams, buffs, beiges and khakis along with natural elements such as wood or metal to play up drama.  Our favorite places to add a pop of texture and a bit of color?  Rugs or walls.

Here we show a few of our own items that can have your room looking beautifully buff in no time!
