Busy Body

Fall season’s pat­terns are far from under­stated and require an abstract per­spec­tive.  Lay­ering busy pat­terns of same tones create a bold state­ment.  Prada dis­played the strength of this trend in their Fashion Week 2012 (photo cour­tesy of whowhatwear​.com).  Pop­ular tones are golds, browns, black and other warm neu­trals.  Using cohe­sive pat­terns leaves the ability to ground the busy with a bright color solid acces­sory.  Don’t shy away from taking a risk with grids and zigzags.  The one rec­om­men­da­tion is not to mix wild flowers with this look.  Then, it might go too far.  Overall this is a preppy, chic & classic look with vin­tage nos­talgia to evoke intrigue.
