Watermelon: This Summer’s Juicy Trend

One of our many melon inspi­ra­tions, Frida Kahlo’s famous “Viva La Vida”, 1954.

While we’re fol­lowing all of the fab­u­lous finds this summer has to offer, we couldn’t help but note this summer’s sweetest shade that is pop­ping up all around…Watermelon.

In home decor, this color works best with whites and khakis which allow the color’s strength to stand out and truly shine.  As Peter Som, who used this favorite shade for his cur­rent summer col­lec­tion, summed it up best, “It has the graphic impact of a lip­stick red, but it’s just a bit more fem­i­nine.”  We couldn’t agree more and are savoring this sweet trend till the last drop!
