Small Space? Big DRAMA!
Written by Clayton Gray Home
Need help with decorating a small apartment or room in your home? All of us here at CGH have had a small urban studio or historic southern home with MANY space challenges.
Helpful Tip: LARGE ARTWORK or MIRROR…don’t be afraid to bring in the DRAMA!
Having numerous small items in a small space will actually make room appear smaller. When entering your room, pick a focal point and hang or lean a BIG piece of graphic/abstract artwork against the wall. Mirrors are also a great option for reflecting light in a living room, bedroom or entry way. You may not be able to change the size of your living space, but you can sure have FUN with it!
If your artwork is very colorful, try to use a neutral in the rest of your room to balance. Do not overwhelm the space. Minimize color usage to one main color and 2 pops. Our current spring favorite is citrine with turquoise, gray, bronze and red.
