Not Your Summer Camp Bunk Bed

Bunk Beds at Summer Camp in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s

Bunk beds are not what they used to be.

Growing up, I slept in a plain, ugly bunk bed (see above) at summer camp. Nothing special — just an easy way to fit 14 girls into one cabin.

Today, bunk beds are architectural triumphs(see below)

They sleep 2, 3, 4 and more.

They hang from rope.

They offer privacy.

They are built with stairs instead of ladders.

They provide natural light.

They fit into the tiniest of spaces.

There are even bunk beds for pets.

Regardless of today’s bunk bed bells and whistles, they look really good.

I would love it if one of your design experts could help me lay out my bonus room for 4 bunk beds. My challange is that I have 3 windows on each side of the room that would have to be worked around. Could someone please contact me?
